One of India’s toughest competitive entrance exams for various management courses is the Xavier Aptitude Test or XAT. XAT 2021 is scheduled for admission to the Xavier Association of Management Institutes on 3 January 2021. In 2019, the XAT exam went online from a pen-paper format. The XAT 2021 exam is also to be taken online this year across India. XAT exam omitted the writing of essays this year and decreased the XAT exam duration to 180 minutes.

On February 1, 2021, XLRI Jamshedpur will publish the XAT 2021 result on its official website. Candidates need to use their XAT login ID and password to view their XAT 2021 results. The scorecard will be available under the results tab on the website. The XAT 2021 scorecard is usually valid until the 31st of December of that year.

The XAT exam institutions would most likely shortlist applicants for the interview and other rounds on the same day as the XAT 2021 results. This includes the section-wise and overall percentile, along with the applicants’ data. Some of India’s top institutes, such as XLRI, XIMB, IMT, TAPMI, LIBA, recognize the XAT ranking.

Preparation for the XAT exam

The XAT exam pattern for 2021 is anticipated to stay close to that of the past few years. As per the latest XAT exam pattern, one mark for each right answer and the penalty for incorrect answers will be 1/4.

XAT is altogether a different exam compared to CAT because of its pattern. To ace XAT, additional effort is needed, apart from preparation for CAT. As an example, XAT tilts a little toward language ability. Besides, there are no sectional time limits in XAT, and time distribution will always be on the candidate’s hands to optimize the score. According to this assessment, a good technique is required to crack the XAT exam.

Decide the time you will allocate on how many questions in various parts are to be allocated while practicing with the XAT exam’s mock papers. Extensive preparation and knowledge of the different kinds of issues are of utmost importance for preparing for the XAT exam.

XAT 2021 results

XLRI will declare the section-wise XAT cut-off along with the overall cut-off marks. The cut-off for each program varies with gender and engineering/non-engineering background.

Applicants who are not pleased with their results can apply for the next year as there is no limit on the number of retakes in the case of the XAT exam. In the second week of May 2020, XLRI is expected to present the shortlist for the final interview round. The results of the group discussion and personal interview round are conveyed to the candidates by email. Candidates clearing the final round would be qualified for admission for the academic year 2021-2023.
